Nothing Rides Like a Carbon Soloist Cervelo

A few weeks back I managed to crack my Cervelo Soloist aluminum frame and Cervelo was kind enough to offer a discount to upgrade to the S2 carbon frames

Well the bike is rebuilt and aside from adjusting the brakes, the rear derailleur, and tightening some bolts, I was good to go for quick 50k ride. The carbon frame rides like nothing I have had between my legs, with a very positive power transfer, and solid response to acceleration and railway tracks. Silky smooth. The Cervelo S1 aluminum frame was a bit harsh, but I liked to feel the road. Let's see if after a couple of rides, which frame I prefer.

The carbon frame is really stunning and when the sun hits the black carbon fiber you can see the various multi layered weave. It's a guy thing, "ohhhh carbon fiber, very pretty".

Hopefully I will not wreck this frame. Here is a picture of me sitting on the bike to confirm proper leg bend. The group set is Campy carbon/titanium 10 speed, Easton carbon fork, Nimble Crosswind carbon wheels, and a internal combustion organic drive system.
